Even just the socket next to my bed has 8 plugs :(

Heated blanket left side
Heated blanket Right side
Wireless Phone charger
Wireless Smart Watch charger
Harmony remote control dock charger
Alarm Clock
Bed side Lamp
Battery charger for my torches 18650 batteries

The Plug sockets behind my AV stand has these
TV
4K AppleTV
HTPC
Skybox
PS4
Xbox one X
AV Amp
Subwoofer
Harmony remote Hub
Network Hub
Wireless keyboard charging dock
Philips Hue Bridge
Electric panel Heater
Cordless B&D Vacuum cleaner

I haven't counted them lately but if i remember right i used to have close to 30 things plugged in just one room

Most of those are low powered, and should function fine on a single 13amp extension.

why is that extension upside down putting strain on the cables? seems unnecessary. Also, what would more wall sockets achieve? You're still going to have stuff plugged in to sockets, only now it'll be sockets mounted, presumably, 45cm up the wall instead if the regs apply. What are you actually gaining?

There is nothing wrong with an extension lead if used correctly

Lots of people do put in 3x2 gang sockets behind their TV as part of the ring main but that’s mainly for looks and has little to do with safety.

Plugging an extension lead into another isn't the same as 6 sockets sharing a busbar on the ring main.

Obviously it depends on the overall power load if its safe or not.
