Hi everyone

I've picked up an Xbox One S to use as a 4k htpc. I've got an hdmi 2.0 cable hooked up to my Acer Predator X27P (4k, 10bit, 60Hz on hdmi 2.0).

It should be capable of 4k 60Hz with 10 bit colour at both ends. However, the xbox settings are saying the monitor can only do 4k 10 bit in 24Hz mode, unless I enable 4:2:2.

The hdmi port on the is definitely working in hdmi 2.0 mode. Am I missing something obvious?

Thanks

I think 4k 10bit 4:4:4 needs hdmi 2.1. I can select 10bit, but is no evidence its working.

Thanks - I dug a bit deeper and it looks like you're right. I can definitely do 4k 10 bit with hdr at 24Hz (just checked that in the blu ray app). It looks like the streaming apps all run at 4k 60Hz, regardless of the actual content only being 24fps, so it has to drop to 4:2:2 to support hdr.

Main thing is 4k blu rays are definitely working as planned. It's not as if streaming is going to suffer from dropping down to 4:2:2.
