In other news, Twitter is well known as a haven for pedos but as usual whether or not the powers-that-be enforce them properly is another thing (it's super-progressive to be tolerant of 'MAPs'/Minor-Attracted Persons in Queer Theory), so this story comes as no surprise.

Seems a highly dubious article. Why would Twitter not remove porn of any kind?

Well from the way you wrote it your argument is why wasn't she banned for a stupid unfunny comedy stunt she did in 2017.

"Argument"?? I haven't made any argument for her to be banned, I even specifically said that I was "perfectly fine" with her NOT being banned as quoted below -

For me, using the excuse of art to cross line without punishment would be perfectly fine if, as I say again, it was allowed in both directions, but it's not.

What I am doing is pointing out the hypocrisy of current situation where we have a difference in outcome between two sets of people who carry out the same act based purely on the political leaning of the person posting the act. So rather than having 1 set rule which everyone is held equally liable to, we have a current situation where one "side" are not held to the standards as the other "side".

So in Kathy Griffins situation I'm "perfectly fine" with Kathy not being banned for her post and I wouldn't ask for her to be banned for her post, but only as long as someone doing the same act but holding Bidens head also isn't banned, because I expect people to get equal treatment when committing the same act i.e. equality.

However we all know that isn't what would happen as a post with "Biden's Head" (should one ever be made) would be banned and thats the hypocrisy which ferments anger and division rather than inclusion and healing.

I noticed nobody replied to this post. I wonder if they even read the link?

Anyone going to comment on the tweet?

I have had some of my posts have the same warning put on by twitter. Basically if you mention covid you get the warning that what you have posted my not be true and links to the NHS etc.

Sometimes it makes no sense whatsover that the warning is on your post but I guess twitter decided the simplest thing was to tag almost everything.

You've been misinformed. Renewables are the fastest growing energy sector in America, nothing has changed on that front for the duration of the Trump presidency. If i remember correctly, renewables overtook coal for the 1st time in like 100 years. Relaxing some regulation around the energy sector doesn't suddenly change large macro trends like renewable energy.

Indeed, thankfully a lot of states and companies totally ignored Trumps continual hatred for renewables and his passing legislation which didnt help them and just got on with it anyway as they can see where the future lies even if the POTUS cant.

But Trumps actions may well have slowed that growth down over the last 4 years.

There seems to be something interesting going on between Australia and Google. Australia are looking to introduce a new law which will force tech companies to pay media outlets for news articles. Google has responded by threatening to withdraw its search engine in Australia.

Interesting times :)

The whole tech industry needs a good looking at because despite what people seem to be saying (the rubbish about it being a private enterprise) they are weilding an insane amount of power and we have no idea what subtle ways they are manipulating almost every area of our lives.

If google wanted to they could collapse economies, ruin businesses and bring entire countries road systems to a halt. We are essentially trusting facebook, google, and amazon to run our societies with little scrutiny on the proviso that if they do something serious enough it will hurt their bottom line. Self regulation has never proven to be a good system when vast quantities of money are involved.
