Question for anyone interested: if you buy a new graphics card that has the same performance but, imagine, 50W lower TDP than your old one (or equivalent efficiency improvement), how long do you have to use it until that TDP difference 'pays for' the environmental impact of manufacturing, shipping, etc. the new card in the first place?

Just to add to the RX580 discussion, I've had the card in my system for a week now and can't say that I'm that disappointed with it, only the price I paid I suppose. I've paired it with a 100Hz UWQHD and for the games I play I'm more than happy as there was no way I could have survived much longer on my 5870.
