Wait for 30x GPU Laptops?

I'm thinking of selling my predator triton 500, it's the i7 8750h rtx 2070 max q version. I'd like to upgrade to something with a 3070 max p but I'm struggling to find one for less than £2000
I think I could probably sell mine for around £800. Would the upgrade be worth it? I'm mainly interested in better vr performance for my rift s. Any suggestions would be welcome, thanks.

Thank you for posting this, I have been looking for this information for a while.

The annoying thing is, I love the G15 design but only 100 watt gpu (80 + 20 boost), just need to understand how big a difference this makes.

Annoying thing is they've not released the TGP for the G513QR, which is the model I'm looking at... I'm hoping it's the same as the G533QR and if so, I'll bite.

Thanks yeah, just found it myself not long ago, fwiw the article isn't wrong either, as the G533QR is also the same - it's the QHD variant of the same model, so I expected it was the same, which is good! Having had time to think I might bide my time a little and try and get something a little thinner/lighter as the rog strix is a bit of a chunky monkey at 2.7cm thick and 2.5kg.

Wouldn’t that be the 150W version? Not found in the Zeph G15.

Also, did he mention the chassis was made from plastic? I assumed metal build like G14.

It is an magnesium aluminium frame, I believe he corrects himself in the comments. Also the gpu is 80 Watts + 20 watt boost which isn't the best but then not bad when you look at the footprint which is smaller than the Scar etc.

The only one I know of with 150W is the ROG Flow x13 with the EGpu

Oh yes ive been waiting for these to appear, thinking of replacing the helios 500 with vega56 graphics although its still seems to be holding strong with todays games.... wouldn't mind losing the 350/400w power brick though
