So many companies will be upset. This is short term view.

The 3060 could be around the 2060s for performance. When are the hardware reviews due up.

With a small bus 192bits they are very much an entry level card and with a 299.00 price point thats assuming you can buy one for that price.

When the 3080 launched, some stores accidentally had them for sale approx 5 hours too early. So if you want a 3060 I suggest you start looking from 9.00am onwards.

Weird because the 3060 Ti is the optimal card for mining.

I'm sure large farms have the resources to pay people to mod the drivers or a BIOS to bypass this.

Maybe they want to be seen as at least trying to do something to stop miners getting hold of them but then as @hyperseven just put the large farms will probably find a way to bypass this and still have 100+ card hashing away

Some of us care about efficiency. NVidia saying they will release CMPs or whatever that is @ 45MH/s 125W is pointless when they have no resale value and can't perform as well as the 3060 Ti (60MH/s 120W).

This is typical Nvidia BS paying lip service to a problem that it could have fixed two generations back at the hardware level, driver modes will not change anything it just software it can be hacked.

Looks like the performance for the RTX 3060 is similar to RTX 2060s / 2070 still the 192bit bus will clip it`s wings in a few games and a bit of stutter if running at 1440p
