Thread bump for the vinyl lovers. After having a box of left over bits from upgrades on my main deck and a few choice offers on fleebay I got to build up another Linn LP12 deck. A real Frankenstein deck as every part had never been together before. I just needed a few screws and washers from my dealer. Took a few hours as it was my first ground up build, it went well, have for now plugged in to a Marantz SR7005 used a pre as I run Linn power amps for all channels.
It’s sounds dam fine, for what in some areas is an old spec, okay still very expensive by many people’s measure.

Spec. Ash plinth stripped back to natural and french polished, cikus bearing and sub chassis, Lingo Mk1 power supply, an old hardboard base (need to improve that) Linn Ekos arm with Linn Adikt MM cartridge which is a little gem.

Thanks! I did not make the plinth myself. Though I could have.

I have a number of systems in my home but for vinyl I use:

Thorens TD 160 mkII (Denon DL 304 cart)
Bellani MT502 SUT
Tube Audio Design TAD-150 Signature Pre
Golden Tube Audio SE-40 (heavily modified) Amp
Hsu Research HB-1 mkII speakers
Velodyne CT-150 sub (for a little bit of bass kick.)
