PSU cable help

Hi there, bit of advice please.

I'm in the process of building a small "spare" PC with some old bits. I have a PSU (a Nexus RX-8500), but I don't appear to have any of the modular 6-pin 12v molex / SATA power cables.

I only need two cables (or one that is split possibly?), one for my SATA HDD and one for the Water-cooling pump (molex) - but reading a bit about PSU cables and pin configuration etc I'm confused as which to buy that won't work or worse case cause the device at the end some damage.

Many thanks for any help.

There's no universal standard for modular cables.

The odds of getting hold of the proper cables new for a lessor known 10+ year old PSU are low (unless someone is still making third-party sleeved cables).

The sockets are pretty standard even if the pinouts aren't. You can probably get some cables that'll physically fit and then use a voltmeter to check and rearrange the pins as necessary.
