The GPU is fine for most 1080p gaming, cpu is only 4 threads which isn't great and can cause slow downs in some games, and 8 gb ram is the absolute minimum for gaming. Unfortunately with the market the way it is currently the price is probably just about right. Its fine, but not great

Pass. Despite the above being correct i just don't think i could pay 550 for a machine that was worth £300 max 6 months ago, and likely less in 6/12 months.

9100f is a bit slow these days, adequate and good little CPU, but ultimately struggling in multicore games. 570 is decent enough, but will show it age very quickly with more recent games as it's on its last legs.

the first one is still very capable of gaming, a quad is a quad and will always be better than a dual core, so no matter how many threads it has it will still hold up in gaming as specs of games tend to require a quad even as a minimum. 570 is a beast of a card in its own right, however depending on your game and res the 4gb vram will be limited.

current prices its good enough deal, if you can knock the price down then even better.

It's not - it's £397.40 you haven't done the conversion. :p I would say that was nearly worth it. Maybe $484.40 I would pay which is £350.

It's AUS dollars now :p

OP i'd ask in an Aussy forum as GPU prices are all over the place right now. Hard for us to say what's worth it in terms of money/value.
