I agree. I also think that their use of the race card to claim victimhood had annoyed some people. I really do think that most people liked her when she first appeared on the scene and thought it would be a breath of fresh air into the royal family. But now they keep saying how they are disliked because of racism. That annoys people when the vast majority of the UK originally liked and welcomed her.
This is the impression I got. Harry getting married to a beautiful American actress and settling down. Well done Harry. Most people who I spoke to about it were of the same opinion. Maybe I didn't talk to all the people that hated her for her slightly off white skin or American heritage.
What was this based on? Genuine question because as above, I got the impression that most people liked her at the start. I didn't get the impression people disliked her much at all until her and Harry started their breakaway and started spouting their woke BS at every opportunity. I think the media digging into her personal life and relationship with her father once the wedding was announced was pretty ****** from the papers but it didn't change my opinion of her.
She is not really dark-skinned by any stretch of the imagination.
It didn't even register that she was mixed race with a lot of people when they were getting married. I was surprised myself when I found out in all honesty.
Yeah I didn't even give it a second thought. I have seen plenty of darker skinned people in the UK who are very much white British. I think thats why the accusation of racism annoys people so much. Its like finding out that the person you dislike at work is gay and being told you must be homophobic because you think they are a ****. I mean, why else could you possibly not like them...
Royals are ripe for bashing, these people dont deserve sympathy or protection.
Sheltering a paedo is the mark of a quality family.
**** the royals to be honest.
Yeah, **** them all by association. Nice view to have. They are not perfect by any stretch of the imagination but I don't reckon that they all got together and decided by vote how to handle it. The royal family is more than the people and many of the decisions they make reflect that.
