I don't think that the USA is ready to elect a woman to the top job, nor will it be in 2024. They are a bit backward in that respect.
In fact they have had trouble electing anybody sensible as head of state since about 1960 which is why I'm pleased with our Queen.

I asked a friend in NYC about it, she said that it was news to her, but she suspected that that the publicity wouldn’t hurt if Meghan was looking for offers from TV or Hollywood.

You only have to look in the GD thread for the bias people have. We have someone posting a story about their house having an intruder twice yet a poster has read the piece and focused on the fact that a fan raised £100 for them. I mean if thats what you take from that story then lol.

Here we are in that GD thread you're talking about and simultaneously you're slagging off the DM and slagging off people (me exactly) for not caring about the story in the... DM

And this is on top of the fact that a little earlier I noted that you don't care for the story yourself but think someone else should!
