Pixel 4a 5G vs Samsung A52 5G

I have an aging Samsung S7, the battery is very poor now. I am looking for a replacement. Both the Samsung A52 5G and Pixel 4a 5G are £399, which would you guys get?

I would prefer the clean OS Pixel with its exclusive functions like playing now.

Another alternative is the Oneplus 8 for £350..

OnePlus 8 has the SD865 so will be quicker especially for games. Looks like great value at the moment!

I am not a gamer. I think the most important thing for me is a decent camera, reliability and good period of updates.

Definitely not the OnePlus then

Go with Pixel for all the mentioned features.

is the oneplus support or reliability not as good as the pixel?

OnePlus as of late have been lagging with software updates for phones that aren't their latest. The 7 series a day before the announcement of the 9 series got 11 "final", which apparently still has bugs which were in the betas.

Though with Samsung guaranteeing 4 years of security updates and have been updating phones to newer major android versions pretty quickly, perhaps consider an S20 or even the S20 FE 5G if you would prefer Snapdragon.
