will any of the M2 SSD's fit this MB?

MPG Z490 Gaming Plus

never had one of those card like ssd's so was just wondering if it would fit this board as ive looked online but cant find the answer

Both PCIe (NVMe) and SATA M.2 drives fit.
Though no sense to waste limited slots for the latter, especialyl when price is similar to competent NVMe like WD Blue SN550.

But use of SATA drive in M2_1 slot would disable SATA2 port.
And use of M2_2 slot disables SATA5 and 6 ports.

Also be sure to use the latest BIOS for your motherboard. The latest one for your motherboard was released only in February, the version is 7C75vA6.

Get the wd blue sn550. Cheap and cheerful. And get the 1tb version. You can never have too much SSD space.

SSDs don't make noise unlike mechanical HDDs.

And while SN750 is good SSD, real world differences in say gaming use aren't much anything from basic NVMe to higher up models compared to price differences.
Also there's TeamGroup MP34 for £10 less than SN750.

oh i used to buy memory from teamgroup, i didnt know they did ssd's. tight budget so always trying to get good items so i dont end up with something bad and loss of cash, so i wouldnt know what to do if i didnt come on to these forums and get awesome advice, thanks i will look at the TeamGroup MP34 as well.

While that TeamGroup was originally with Phison E12 controller they changed it to Silicon Motion SM2262ENG, but that doesn't hurt gaming performance at all.
Those SM controllers are actually more optimized for home usage patterns.
While that Phison is more optimized for complex loads/maintaining steady performance to full drive along with very high write endurance/keeping NAND wear limited.

But if money is tight, then WD Blue SN550 is the choise.
In most games loading time differences between different SSDs (including SATAs) aren't anything like price differences:

And differences between NVMes just aren't really meaningfull in human scale even in games not limited by processing in loading speed.

It's a shame OcUK don't sell Sabrent M.2 drives, as they really are good bang for buck. Definitely worth researching.

TeamGroup MP34 1TB NVMe PCIe M.2 Solid State Drive

as long as it fits MB then i will be ok getting this!
