Or just break little bits and eat, or like Ultimate Warrior used to do break it into little pieces and smell it before throwing it away.

If that's true then this is the correct answer, because anything the Ultimate Warrior did is basically the right way to do it.

I'm am. Quite happy to believe the theory of every calorie eaten at once not converted, always have a six pack of s&v crisps on a Fri night with bottle of wine, then a family pack of chilli nuts after the wine. After this back to my normal diet, very active lifestyle though

A diet is not a short term thing, it is a lifestyle change that lasts forever. If you really are wanting these things so bad then you really need to change your approach. Stop thinking of it as a diet and think of it as your new way of life.
This. Diet is not a verb. It's just what you eat.

I know what you mean, but this statement is not correct.
It's not, but it's nice to keep things simple. As above, I'm sure you know what I'm getting at. Changing your diet for a short period of time to lose weight, then be surprised when the weight returns once you start eating 'normally' is absolutely daft.

It's a long read but worth a look because there's no such thing as starvation mode.

People say they diet to lose weight but it's not, most of the time it's to make themselves feel better about being overweight. People often start really restrictive or impossible to keep up diets, deep down knowing they will fail this then makes them feel better about being fat as they 'clearly can't lose weight' or 'diets just don't work'. It's easier to believe that losing weight is too difficult than to actually lose weight.

The hardest part about weight loss is the mindset, it's so difficult to change. Most people can go on a 6 month health craze and lose 20KG or whatever, but it's maintaining it over years, it's very very difficult - and is why around 90% of people who lose weight via a diet, regain it all in 12-36 months for some reason or another. Especially with how the food environment has changed so much in the last few decades..

As for eating three easter eggs, it'd likely do nothing to your weight, at all apart from make you feel sick :p - most of the excess energy will be burnt as heat, in your muscles a small fraction will be turned to fat, you'd have to do it for days on end before you started to see a difference on the scales.

That's it though, it's a health craze. It's about changing your lifestyle and diet into a more healthy one. People who do the fad diets go back to their normal diet after finishing as it's not sustainable then gain all the weight back.

Either that or Lex Luger, I saw it in a Youtube interview sometime - I think they actually both did it with cookies when on the road and not able to eat well that easily with USA junk food temptation all around. Not wanting to speak ill of either though, but I don't think it did them that good long term as Warrior died of a heart attack at 58 and Luger has been in a wheelchair for a decade, both overdid the working out and 'vitamins' in their prime.

To be honest Ultimate Warrior was probably on so much stuff that he could've eaten exclusively chocolate and still have been ripped, which was probably also what led to his early demise.

I wish, I always wanted one of those mech-suits. No it’s the educational branch of Mac Nutrition which I did as the nutrition stuff you get taught when doing your personal trainer qualification varies from inadequate to badly wrong. Was/is the best course in the country for that (unless you want to pursue professional dietetics and work as a Registered Dietician, which is mandatory if you want to do stuff like prescriptive nutrition in a clinical setting like people with eating disorders, Crohn's, post-op, cancer etc).

It's a long read but worth a look because there's no such thing as starvation mode.

If you decide to enter starvation mode, (which is real btw), and you stay in starvation mode. You will die eventually. But before you die you will lose a lot of weight.

Hibernation mode is starvation mode. Bears hibernate, they start off fat, they end up skinny, they are starving. We just call the process of starving to conserve energy and survive the winter, hibernation.

What is happening is a person enters a diet where they consume more kcal than normal. They also do exercise,

Now they lose no weight whatsoever, why should they, the extra exercise simply offsets the extra intake.

So that's how you end up with a person believing they have broken the laws of physics.
