Anything halfway close to the lightning in a bottle that was the BF4 days would be nice.

Considering there hasn't even been a trailer yet I'm going to pessimistically say it will actually launch next year earliest. All this guff floating about at the mo is just the internet hyperbole rumour mill.

While EA do have ME Legendary edition and Apex Legends to fall back on Battlefield still represents their major Fall/Xmas 'tent pole' release of the year. If it's delayed it'll not be by much, a week or two. EA will be pushing hard for a release this year and I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if DICE were crunching already.
