People always seem to want a pallet for something, and Id rather be left with a reusable bulk bag than dozens of plastic ones. But thats just me.

No the topsoil companies all say it comes on a pallet and can only be left kerbside and its all my responibility.
So I would have to get 950 kg of soil into my back garden from the pavement then get rid of the pallet.
I will just dump my composter full of shredded cardboard and weed clippings instead, but that will take at least 3 months to make any soil.

Oh I do have a drive but its behind my garden, and no wheelbarrow.

Given how close your garden is to the roadway @BallistixOnZ490, make sure the topsoil company you are talking to is aware and I'm sure they'd be happy to use the HIAB to drop it into your garden.

I mean right its literally pavement > border > garden gate, but I'm going to make do without spending that much on soil.
In my defence it has to be very strategically placed in boarders and not just dumped on the lawn

Don't put it too close. If it "expands" and damages the shared fence you'll have another issue to deal with.

Put it on the brick wall corner next to my tree instead.
I'm away a few days over the weekend so was planning to put the MiracleGro on the grass (weed and feed I think?). Do you guys recommend picking up a spreader for these? Or just throw it by hand? Is the staining on clothes really that bad as my daughter plays on the grass?
I've always used a spreader to ensure an even distribution. Much better finish that by hand which is often very patchy IME.

I threw it by hand, and have some dead patches where it went down too thick. It's certainly possible by hand - but from experience - less is more.

I'd use a spreader, having done this recently to my lawn, you really want it down as even as possible, too much in one place and it'll scorch and possibly kill it.
Remember to water it in well, I watered each part of the lawn for around 20 minutes each day for 3 days just to be sure.

Any garden centres near you? They've always had them in stock in my local ones, despite showing out of stock online.
