Running network cable round house

Hi I have a virgin hub in a cupboard in the middle of the flat, now have a switch in the attic at one end and from this drops to rooms on one side of the flat and I have another switch in the av cupboard in the living room at the other end of the flat serving all my av gear. Have the attic switch plugged direct into the hub, now do I plug the av switch into the attic switch (easiest ) or down into the hub ?

For internal traffic, your easy option is probably better.

For external traffic, it's unlikely to matter.

Well managed to drop a cable down to the hub so now have a cable to each side of the house into switches
