You head strap looks interesting for your Track IR. What is it and where did you get it..please :)

Yeah, I am using the pro clip on what was an xbox360 headset lol.

It's perfect for the pro clip because it's so lightweight I don't even feel on my head most of the time.
And best of all the 360 headsets are very cheap :D

I used some fabric tape on the white end bit for some padding against the plastic.

Hi guys

I have the Hornet, the Syria map and the super carrier. Can I use the super carrier on the Syria map? When I select a quick mission I can only take off from land based airports and I thought the SC may have been an option in the sea part?

You can use it the carrier on anymap i guess the mission maker didn't add it to quick mission.
I’m still very much learning so sticking to quick missions. I was able to try the SC on the main missions and it’s flipping awesome being catapulted off it!!

Location
London
For OB users, the Marianas free map is now out, circa 10GB in size. Just 5 small islands and a LOT of sea. My rough guess was around 750*600 miles. Perfect for some big scale naval operations.

It’s 1500km x 1500km

Only seen it in videos so far but looks really good although probably only 2% of those 2.25m square km are land based!

The new map is helicopter heaven. Hi res landscape mesh, very good textures at low altitude and tons of details like puddles on flat roofs, bbq grills with stakes and so on. I think this particular area is more detailed at low level than in MSFS2020.
Note the uneven runway:

Agreed, almost photo realistic.

I gave DCS a brief look in VR and it utterly confused me roflmao, how many hours would you say it takes to learn the basics (dash ,controls, procedures etc) before attempting to pilot a vehicle ?
Depends on a vehicle. For example the UH-1 Huey helicopter in the screenshot above you do not need to learn ANY switches to fly. Just set up your joystick and throttle axes, select "take off hot" - and you'll appear in a helicopter that is already started and ready to fly. Once airborne, no need for switches either, and the only important dial is the vertical speed (strictly vertical descent must no exceed about 10 feet per second or you'd risk getting into a vortex ring state. ).

Even in the case of cold start, I no longer bother with starting procedures and just use the Shift+PageUp button combo to automatically start up any aircraft. The F-16 and the like still take some learning to utilize its weapon systems, so that is what I'm reserving my short attention span for :)
