Blinds in a pelmet

I've had some like this for as long as I've been alive (family home). I couldn't see why it wouldn't work providing space isn't too tight.

The worry is, and I forgot to explain, that while the brackets can be top mounted the blinds (wooden) still need to be installed/attached from the front and not from underneath.
Ah gotcha - they are talking about the little jig you do to clip them in?

I wouldn't say you need a huge amount to get the right angle TBH. What width is the blind versus your gap?
