i agree its vewing preferance, i set 2.5feet away from my 48cx, imersive for me for gaming, and i lean back when watching movies, for productivity i dont make my window full screen , i resize the windon on the middle part, its like having multiple monitor setup

I think viewing distance is all to taste. I have a 165'' 21:9 projection screen in my home cinema. No one has complained about it being too big ;) and its definitely not compatible with RTINGs little viewing distance guide.

The viewing distance has always been a debated topic and is a personal taste, you don't have to follow any guilds so I added the Rtings link:) for an opinion

If you aren't limited by a computer desk which allows 3 feet of viewing distance at best then great. But some of us do a lot of productivity work and sitting at that distance is not an option.

My old desk is only 81cm not good for me to sit that close to my 55CX:eek: so I have a small table for my keyboard + mouse and it's easy to move but I had to extend my cables as well so I can sit way back with my gaming chair at 6/7feet, but I have a room all to myself in the home but for some they are limited by space and sometimes without a spare room so the viewing distance have to change.:)

Had my C1 48 a few weeks now. Its been faultless to be fair, 3090 @ 4k with Gsync is bliss! Before this i used a 38GN950 which is the same price, but there is no contest! If anyone is sitting on the fence, just do it :)

The FE was available for about an hour yesterday! Did you miss it or waiting for some cheaper AIBs?

Yesterday at my local store was selling a GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3090 24 GB GAMING OC Graphics Card for £1,250 but only had five in stock I missed it by an hour too late, I have seen the same card at another online store for just £1,350 but sold out again I have left my email at six online stores and my local store. I will not pay the greedy price of same RTX card at £2,020.00

Thats another reason I want a 42" (or smaller) OLED. I am running a 32" 4k screen atm and loving the ppi. Going from that to anything bigger will be quite a drop in ppi.

Nice, 3090 on a CX48 is just perfect, it doesn't get better than that! (Until the 42" version comes out! :p)

What 32" 4k screen are you using? They're all extremely bad compared to CX/C148.

Was using a Benq 32" IPS 4k screen. One of the best screens money could buy when I bought it for £450 5 years ago. No dead pixels, zero backlight bleed, almost perfect colour reproduction and its a fast screen as far as lag and transitions goes back then.

Just missing more than 60hz and HDR and almost 6 years I am still waiting for a better one. Currently swapped to a AW 3821 screen as a stop gap for some 144hz fun. Even that cost almost double the old screen for basically less ppi, slightly wider screen and 144hz.

Would love to see a sub £500 OLED 32" 144hz screen but doubt I will live long enough to see one

It is a shame there isn't an oled under 48". Especially for the guys who are into gfx and spend out for it.

Give me the choice between gtx 1080 and oled, or 3090 and lcd. It's easy, the 1080 with oled :D

The GTX1080/TI running this 48/55CX OLED is you lose out on many features the CX/C1 was design for so a 1080/TI can run is - 4K, No- G-sync, 120hz, 18gbps 2.0HDMI, colour format 4.2.0, colour depth - 8bit, dynamic range -Limited. or 60Hz colour format RGB, Compare with 3080/90, 120hz, 48gbps 2.1HDMI, colour depth 12bit, colour format 4.4.4, G-sync;)

So 12bit Colour depth is 68 billion colours. For example, Dolby Vision supports 12-bit colour compare with 8Bit 16 million colours and a 4:2:0 image retains only a quarter of the colour subsampling that a 4:4:4 image does.

Just noticed on mine that even though I peeled off the plastic screen protector on the front and plastic from the back, there is still some kind of screen protector still applied. Down the bottom you can see really small pockets of air that I noticed when I was cleaning the screen and shone my phones torch on it to make sure there was no streaks as there was no natural light. Anyone elses like this? Its only on the very bottom edge and its on the very edges of the film.
