Just curious what others social life is like, i’m 32

For me, its normally pub and meal 2-3 times a month with friends or family.

Far from my early - mid 20s when i was in the pub every Friday and Saturday. I fill the time with hobbies( learning guitar and programming) so its not like i waste my spare-time but yeah, just curious what its like for others.

I have a large extended family all living close so the need for friends is not so great.

Actually i used to have dozens of friends but most of them were bad people and i ditched the lot.

Occasionally I go back to my home town to visit my mum and meet old friends but maybe a couple of times a year depending on what they are doing availability wise.
In the area I live now I can’t be bothered, pubs are expensive these days, I tend to take a day trip to the coast or another town to relieve boredom on days off, I work weekends (it’s night shifts )most of the time so it’s not always compatible with others.

Before kids. Pub on Friday, Rugby club Saturday, Sunday lunch with family and every other week a mid week drink with friends.

With kids. “Socialise? *pause* Can you spell that?”

So 2020 was barely a blip in absolute terms on my socialising.

How many of us only have 1 or 2 actual mates? I sometimes (and do) admire folk (especially girls) who can maintain more than 2 mates on a deep level. Just isn't in my blood, would rather do my own thing.

Anyway, probably 2/3 times a month in 2021. Before COVID I worked away every night and ran a large team so every single night without fail, and then the weekend too. Never realised how exhausted I was.

In my mid 20's, I was in the pub 4-5 times a week.

Monday/Tuesday, quiz or bowling.
Wednesday - Cinema.
Thursday - Pub Quiz.
Friday - after work drinks
Saturday - recovery
Super Sunday.

In my 30's I got back into old hobbies, I'm probably in the pub once/twice a week now at most. To catch up with people, after a run, or after work drinks.

Aged 42 here.

I go to the pub twice a week with 1 or 2 friends. Have the same friends come round my place once a month.

During lockdowns, I had Zoom mights every other Friday with my long distance friend who I normally meet up with twice a year for 3-4 days. Now that we're out of lockdown, we have been continuing this and I count it as being "social" because our Zoom sessions are usually 6+ hours long and it involves a lot of beer!

The main thing I'm missing from pre-covid is the clubbing, so I aim to get that back into gear. Tracecoda in Birmingham was my last decent haunt.

6 hour Zoom seshes? What else does it involve apart from beer? Just a couple a guys, exploring each others' personalities...

i'm married .. so maybe 1-2 times a month ..

I feel that
