Over there...
My brother is driving in the live action arena!

Watch out for a blue Land Rover 90 esque vehicle. Produces 400odd BHP, and is very special beneath the ally bodywork - wave when you see him!

Going on Saturday. Oh and if you're going for the ladies you'll be disappointed. There will be some yes, but it's not a Max Power affair...

Defo a good show, not working there this year but still blagged a free ticket :D

It's far more Max Power than it should be tbh. I went last year and an awful lot of the stands were just selling what I'd call "chav racing tat". There were also some exceedingly scantily dressed women there, I have to say.

I did a fairly rapid orbit of the show and then took up station by the stage waiting for the interviews, which turned out to be a good move as it was packed by the time they started.

Going again this year as I have a free ticket, but it doesn't cover the live arena. I didn't bother last year as I figure this is what they want - give you free basic entry but then get you on the parking, live arena and food so by the time you're finished you've spent another 20 quid anyway.

Is the live arena worth the £7 extra, and does anyone know what interviews they've got on Saturday?

Is it worth maybe all meeting up at the show somewhere, say by the main central Autosport stand at 10am?

It definitly worth the extra £7 in my opinion. The other day i got an email about the autosport show, there seems to be a good section in the Live Action arena.

If you see some 18-21 year olds pushing little kids off any scalextric sets out then it could possibly be me and the other 2 im going with. :p

McRae's Battle in the Live Action Arena
The indoor extravaganza pits "Davids against Goliaths" from the world of rallying, two Goliaths from the 80s in the form of Jimmy McRae, still the most successful British Rally Championship competitor of all time, will come head to head with arch-rival, Russell Brookes. Unbelievably, both are being reunited with their original cars. McRae in the 6R4 Rothmans Metro and Brookes in the Mk2 Escort. The young guns should give an equally gripping performance with Alister McRae pitting his skills against Martin Rowe both in identical Subaru Imprezas.

To be honest, the aftermarket area of any show will have bolt on tat since it's easy to sell and fits any car - obviously an aftermarket area can't afford to be car specific so they know some of it will sell. And the cost of a stand at Autosport is phenominal, it's big money
