My personal preference on Nvidia board partners is XFX. They seem to get the cream of the GPU crop. When the GTX was apperaring some boards were struggling to reach 490/1300 which the XFX was set to by default. Mine went on to comfortably do 520/1360 with the stock cooler.

First impressions last so now i only buy XFX. I'm sure other manufacturers produce boards with the same potential. Just look at the pre-clocked speeds to get some idea of the quality of the boards. If you are undecided then maybe go with the company with the best warranty? My XFX GTX had a double lifetime warranty, meaning if you sold it to a friend they would have a lifetime warranty on it too.

I'd just go for the cheapest.

my XFX EE (stock 450/1050) auto-clocks to 470/1070. :(

my Leadtek (stock 400/1000) auto-clocks to 490/1190. :)

spending more on a pre-clocked version doesn't always mean it'll clock higher than the cheaper ones.

My overclocking results with my 7800gtx cards..

My BFG 7800gtx stock speed = 460/1300 (overclock to 470/1320)

My 2 leadteks 7800gtx stock = 430/1200 (overclock to 490/1370 & 495/1390)

They most likely go a fair bit higher in a cooler system then my very hot sli shuttle system.

Would you guys say the BFG card is better than the XFX one? (The one clocked at 450mhz in 'this week only' offer) - I can't decide between these two and also the ati 1800 512mb card :(
