hi all

i have to make a choice as to what mobo im gonna get...

im buying an opteron 144, and i have an agp 6800gt. mem is in siggy i think

i want to get 2.7GHz out of the chip if at all possible

shall i get the ASrock 939dual-SATA2, or is there something else i can try?

i've heard about freezing issues with NF3 boards and 6800s, so im not certain what to go for...

If you're around long enough you'll hear about freezing issues with every hardware combination ;)

The ASrock seems to be the preferred solution to your problem of running AGP on Socket 939. People here have been saying good things about the board and its o/c potential.

You could also have a look at the Lan party dfi ultra-d which has also earned rave reviews and is highly o/clockable
