I have noticed recently an increase in hoax email.

We have just received an email from some one who pretends to be from apple saying our account has been deducted by $799.00 for a digital camera at 4am this morning!!!

We’re not into photography??

It says click on the link to follow your order. Then you get a broken link because the security system detects a Trojan!!

Exploit-WMF ??

What is this?

Is this sort of thing common?

I also recieved this email this morning.. AND it came through on my email address I use for the forums only!..bit strange!

But yeah I saw that and though eh?!.. Must be a hoax I haven't bought anything from Applestore.. And sure enough my AV software came back with the same virus.

But yeah recently I have been flooded by fake bank emails.. Especially Halifax!!.. Going please our systems have gone down please verify your details.. etc..etc..

It's annoying, but there are hundreds of them going round. My junk mail filter catches 95% of them which isn't too bad!

;)
