How to connect to my TV?

how can i connect the logitech z5500 speaker system to my TV? i have a JVC LT25DS6. here are the specs

if it has the red and white audio outputs on the back of the tv then you want a cable that has these connectors going to a 3.5mm jack plug(headphone type) to the input on your control centre.

will i get 5.1 through this as it has the 5.1 encoder

you wont get true 5.1, you will get dolby prologic 2 encoding as your only giving it a stereo input and no tv programmes are delivered in 5.1 except on sky+
