Bluescreen: bugcode_usb_driver

Hi

Every other day, sometimes a few times in one day I'll get a bluescreen, mostly with this text in the error: bugcode_usb_driver

I've looked online and found similar reports, mentioning that it could modem related- that and the fact that the error report on the Microsoft website mentions that it is modem related.

I have a usb Voyager 105 ADSL modem from Plusnet.

I've heard that it could possibly be usb power relarted :confused:

Any ideas?

Yep, USB ADSL modems are traditionally balls. Either grab yourself a router or a powered hub. Router is the better idea.

So the router would be the modem then? I'm not really sure how they work, but I was also told to possibly get one.

I have had similar problems with my Alcatel modem; after asking for help on a few forums where others have had same problem I found my own solution which is to put the modem on a seperate USB header. This has worked for me ever since but of course cannot promise same results for you as could be a slightly different problem but I would suggest you try it.
