Evening all. Being such a lovely day for winter I decided to get out there and get the R a long overdue clean and polish then grab a few pics for the archives.

I posted them all up on the OCUK Motors page so it makes sense to use that. Pics can be found here:-

But here's a few taster pics in case you cannot be bothered to click :)

Hi m8

Car looks good but the thing that impresses me more is something that is so small and lightweight with so much power and the fact you won't have traction issues with the 4x4 traction. It will must fly, any chance of some in car videos showing acceleration?

Does it still pull strong into 3 figures and how much does it weigh?

Thats something I really want to do, only I have no where to mount the camera so it can face the dash when I am driving. Not short of fitting a full tripod in the back (which I dont have)
I'm not really sure what to do. I suppose I could get a friend to hold the camera on it if nothing else?

It pulls well until about 120mph after which aerodynamics catch up on it. I had it up to 140mph quite easy on the long straight at Silverstone and it still had plenty to go. I'm certain it can hit the 160mph given enough of a run.

They weigh 1220kg. Mine will be a little less as I took out the aircon, but have slightly heavier seats. Say 1200kg.

I have a couple of very low res vids on my webspace, but the cameramen swear in both and I dont wanna get another 'holiday' lol

Very nice car, very jelous. I want one!!! Looks decent too, I bet people don't expect that kind of performance from it when they see it out and about normally.

The boxes aren't chocolate if they're looked after, my old R had about 300ish bhp, the only reason my gearbox went was my hamfisted attempts at changing gear. :)

Sexy!

I had a ride in a mates GTI-R a couple of years back. I think he said it had 280bhp (is that standard) and was seriously quick.

I remember swearing quite loudly on the first run :D
