Hi

I've currently got a Winchester 3000+ s939 in my system and am looking to replace it sooner or later with a 4400+ Toledo. I'm running on an Asus A8N-SLI Board so there is quite a bit of room.

Does anyone have any good reccomendations for a Cooler to buy?

What is the most effecient/quietest out at the moment?

Hi,

I just used this on my new build:

ThermalRight SI-120

Akasa AK-183-L2B Ultra Quiet 120mm Fan - 3 pin

Best cooler I ever used, easy to fit, and silent when used with the Akasa fan!

Never seen a CPU idle @ 22°C before

Full load still to go above 38°C (still @ stock though)

I think this may be able to run passive, will see soon. . .

AIR COOLING BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i used to have xp-120 installed but wasn't happy with the temp so bought arctic freezer pro. temp drop 5-7c from stock cooling so im happy with that + it's very quiet and dirt cheap.

Case airflow has a lot to do with it too. I have no case fans and my temps are superb! The XP-120 is a superb Heatsink with the right fan on it!

I'm in the market for a new hsf to replace the stock on my a64 3000.

I take it the one's mentioned above are noisey? My computer already makes so much noise you can hear it from downstairs :\ Which one would you suggest for someone who doesn't want to be deafened? :D

I second the AC Freezer, really quiet and a superb cooler. My Venice 3000 @ 2.7 idles at 30C to 42C Load. Not to bad at all for air cooling!
