Transfering Data

I have a quick question....
What would be the best way to transfer 1.5 Tb of data from one place to another?
I was thinking of 6x 250Gb SATA2 hard disks with USB enclosures.
Another option was a NAS unit but they are too expensive.

The data is currently on DVD5s. The data will be encripted before transfer, thats why we can't transfer the data on the dvds.

Does anyone have any other ideas?
Cheers.

Label the files as "Porn XXX" and stick it on the BitTorrent network. It'll cross the world about 17 times in a day lol.

More seriously you could try tape drives maybe... but I think they're expensive and/or too small - someone will have to help me out on this.

I would probably just move the data on the HDDs. Means all you have to do is plug em in and away you go.

I was thinking hard drives would be the simplest way.
I've got no idea how much tapes would be...
Remember Jaz drives? Are they still in development? I remember they had a 1 gig drive when people were swooning about a 100meg zip drive...

Very cool but very expensive.
If you work out the meg per £, it is nearly twice as expensive than buying 300Gb hard disks.
But yes, its an option...

Ps, nothing like resuscitating an old thread...
