Hi

I've got a newish pc sorted but its a mish mash of new and old components and unfortunately the gaming performance isnt too great

CPU = X2 3800 + 2200mhz
Ram - 1GB geil ultra X bh5 2-3-3-6 @ 216mhz
Motherboard - MSI Neo2 plat
GFX - AGP XFX 6600 GT 550/1100
PSU - 430W antec trupower

The rest doesnt really matter but im really not sure what to upgrade really? The cpu, motherboard, ram is from sept 2005, gfx from april 2005 , psu is from april 2004,

would ideally like 2gb + new grapics card but really unsure whether its worth the spend?

what do you guys think? Would 4 X 512mb be really bad idea? what the cheapest matching ram that would work?

Sell your motherboard and 6600GT, then buy a new PCI-E motherboard and PCI-E graphics card. I would recommend an X800XL as a minimum for games.

The 1GB of ram is fine for the time being, unless you plan on playing Battlefield 2 a lot.

I would look into getting a new mobo and gfx too.

At least that way you have the option of getting top end pci-e cards.

I would maybe get a couple of hundred mhz more on that x2 3800 too. :)
