problems with corsair 2gb pc4000pt

I need help,

Problem cannot get the ram to run anywhere near 250Mhz

System:

Amd64 x2 3800+, AN8 Falal1ty SLI, Gigabyte 7800gt x2,

I can overclock this set up with my old ram stable at 260Mhz, but the ram has to be dropped to 200ddr in bios running at 3.0v.

I have tried the corsair ram at 400ddr, and cannot get it above 216mhz.
I have tried vsrious voltages upto 2.8 v, no difference can't even get it to
open 3dmqark never mind bench it !!!

is the ram faulty???

i've put my old ram back in works fine.

have since then seperated the ram and ran them apart one works fine at 250,
the other is no good at 230
