Worthy upgrade for my new Dell 2405FPW? :D

AMD 1700+ DLTC3 2.5GHz

But the 3200+ can hit 2.75Ghz and from reviews it can surpass a 3500+. At the price it's a steal.

Just wondering whether i should get the G.Skill ZX, in fact i would get it if they switched that disgusting cyan colour heatspreader! Those timings won't really make much difference anyway for another 30 quid.

As for the X800 GTO, it's easily moddable to X850XT via the Crucial BIOS and for £130 for 6000+ in 3Dmark '05, it's again, another STEAL!

One query though, that 430W Seasonic should be enough?

Haha, changed my mind. The 3700+ has 1MB of L2 cache. Now that's worth £30 more.

I will get the G.Skill ZX now i've read more about it. Colour schemes be damned. :D

Still gonna get the X800 though. :D

Maybe its worth waiting to see what these AM2 boards are like - Im like you currently on skt A with a barton 2500 overclocked + abit nf7s v2.
Im waiting to see what these AM2 boards are like - and even if they arent very special surely it will reduce the price of these skt939 boards/cpu's
