Hi
I am using winamp free version (5), and wish to rip in MP3 format. ..... is there a plugin for this?

If not, what would you reccomend for converting from m4a to mp3? My mp3 player doesn't support m4a files :(. Would there be a program that would allow me to somehow easily "on the fly" copy m4a files to a folder (ie my mp3 player drive in windows explorer) and convert them to mp3?

thanks

There is a built in ripper in winamp pro (pay version) that allows you to rip to mp3 or aac. I reccomend using CDex for ripping CDs. It's free and using LAME you can produce the best sounding mp3s.

I think CDex will convert m4a to mp3 if you have the m4a codec installed on your pc. I'm not sure if it will so you will just have to try it. Download CDex, configure it so it's using LAME and drag an m4a file into it.
