Agreed.
The power is in the CPU, don't waste money on the memory.
Since the mem-controller is on-die, you get increased bandwidth and decreased latency just by clocking the CPU.
Low timings and high speeds on the mem are nice, sure, but I wouldn't say you're getting very good value for the price hike to better memory.
Keep the mem on a divider as high as it can go ~ 2-2-2-6 timings and clock the CPU.
EDIT - Damn. Just read you aren't clocking. Even MORE reason to go with cheap LL stuff then.
