Hi, got a Maxtor which windows has "deleted" all the files off as they were corrupted (i think) which i guess means is like a quick format (ie beggining and end saying data between these points is deleted?)
Was wondering if there is any free software to un-delete the data?

Don't know if that makes total sense...

What can i do?

Thanks

Try R-Studio

It can recover files off formatted drives.
You can dl the evaluation of it which allows small file recovery. If you see big files you want to recover, you just buy a licence. No doubt there are other good pieces of sw out there doing similar things, but this one works fine.

Active@Undelete version 5.1 is great. Just recovered files from my hard drive which windows converted to a dynamic disk. If was a foreign disk under disk management and I could not read the files on it. I had to convert it to a basic disk thus losing my data. I then formated it and now recovered my data.
