i used to overclock it to 2.68ghz (185 x 14.5) but now it finds it tough to go anything over 2.4, running at 2.03 v (1.95 actual)

using better ram and better psu now

what else should i try?

on an abit nf7s-v2

The cpu goop can dry out and become quiet inefficent after about 10 months for a hot cpu.
That's the whole idea, first it's fills all the gaps and then hardens.

My old XP2400+ had the same, after about 18 months it just wasn't stable at the same speed and voltage, I had to drop the speed by 100Mhz and increase the VCore by 0.025V to get it stable again.
