Hi
After a couple of years of avoiding PC gaming I've just got myself a 6800GS (agp), to replace a 9800pro.
I'm running a asrock 939Dual-SATA2
athlon 64 3200
1 gig o ram
Spent yesterday trying to install the thing, all of the nvidia drivers I tried stated they couldn't find the drivers for my installed card. Apart from the 82.12 these would install ok up untill the last few seconds where upon it would reboot.
Reinstalled xp same problem.Bios update, various Uli agp drivers same issue.
So I'm guessing its a psu problem, (I've got a channel well cwt 450bdp) unplugged case fans, 1 hard drive & both dvd/cd drivers & windows would recognize the card as a 6800gs install ok but on reboot it hangs at the login screen.
Before I fork out on a new psu just wanted to check that this is the problem.
Cheers.
