my appreciation of you .... again has to be an appreciation of something.

eg : Punching him in the face was an expression of anger.
He had a strong appreciation of pain after he was shoed in the nadgers.

thats just the first thing that came into my head, which was probably the most natural way, i thought.

usually only go wrong when you sit there and think about the phrase
