I'm thinking of changing my broadband supplier.

If I sign up with another company, will my existing broadband supplier automaticaly cancel the connection, or will they continue billing me until I phone them and cancel.

I've been with them over 12 months.

If it's ADSL, you won't be able to sign up with another ISP till you cancel the first one, unless you migrate (MAC keys, etc etc, the FAQ is your friend).

2 options for ADSL:

-Disconnect from your current ISP and wait until your line is dead before ordering the new one

-If your ISP leaving/going to support MAC transfers then all you need to do is get a MAC code from your current ISP and then you have 30 days to give this code to your new ISP. After this a date will be then arranged for the change over and all you should need to do is change your username/password for the new ISP.

I think thats how it works.
