Welcome to the forums, all the parts specified will work together but I'd advise against getting 2x 6800gs in SLi as 1x 7800gt is on a par and will be cheaper unless you really want SLi for some reason. I'd also probably change the DVDRW to either a NEC 4551 or Pioneer 110 but other than that it looks fine.

Oh and I'd get a SATA drive rather than an ATA(or IDE as you may know it) because they are theoretically faster, the cables are neater and IDE is on the way out(albeit not for quite a while).

Thanks for the advise, - good to know it will work together I`ll bear in mind about the graphics card and look into this.

Just a quick question about the Hiper HPU-4K580-MK, on some of the furums it is stating it only came with 1 pci-express 6 pin connector, in SLI this would certainly cuase an issue for me. If I do go SLI I hope this PSU does come with Dual 6pin PCI-express connectors.

Would be great if someone who has used this PSU could confirm this ?

Agree with semi, 7800 or if they still have some in stock a X1800XT would be an even better choice ( 2x GS = £250, 1800XT = £235 - no contest ).

Hard drive again agree with semi, Samsung Spinpoints are a popular choice as a general reliable SATA disk.

Whilst we're reccomending against SLI due to more ecconomical options, if you go Tagan modular instead of the Hiper I can tell you it DOES come with two Graphics Card power connectors.

I have have one and it doesn't - well mine didn't anyway. Not a problem for me, as I'm not even using the one I have but still :(.
