Hi there,

I bought my computer that you guys helped me out with and i also got a monitor. The problem is... in my rush to get it built i've mixed up the the power cables for the monitor and the PC and i'm not sure which goes with which.

One cable has a 5AMP fuse and the other a 13AMP

The case is:
Antec SLK3800BUK Black Quiet Midi Tower Case - 400W SmartPower PSU (CA-048-AN)

The monitor is a standard LG 17" LCD monitor.

Any help would be much appreciated thanks :)

They should both be 5 amp fuses really. Every piece of kit I've bought, be it a PSU or a monitor has always come with a 5 amp in the plug. In your situation I'd be inclined to keep the PC with the 5 amp fused cable though.

Thanks for the reply Phemo,

I managed to get in contact with LG customer services who said it was the 5AMP cable. Is it right then to have a 13AMP fuse for the PC?

Thanks

Provided your electrics aren't completely dodgy it'll be ok. Both monitor and PC should ideally have 5 amp fuses so I'd try and get hold of either a new cable complete with 5 amp fuse, or a pack of 5 amp fuses in the near future.
