Hey all,
Just built a pc for use as an mce box- haven't got the tv card yet- but then my linux'y pal directed me in the direction of myth tv, so i was thinkin of dual boot at worst (or total linux dependance at best :D). I'm stumped as to what tv card to get, i'd like two if possible, or a dual tuner (on one card) solution. Has anyone got any suggestions, first hand experience or information for a tv card that they could share. TIA!

Jim

i use a saa7134 based analog card and a bt878a based analog card in my myth box. Before the year end I expect to have 2x DVB-S cards in it + either a DVB-T or analog card to get C4 + C5 (not on fta sat till 2008).

check out nova-t, pvr-250/350 for starters I'd say.

I don't even think hauppage do linux drivers....

The bt878 driver is in the kernel. Look up v4l and v4l2. (video for linux) mythtv supports any card that v4l does. BTTV - any card that works with that, IVTV, or DVB drivers will work.

Check out http://linuxtv.org/ for links + info.
