Router, USB or Ethernet connection?

Hi,

Ive just bought a ADSL Modem Router and on it I can either use USB or Ethernet to connect it to my PC.
The USB is v1.1, full speed (12Mbps), Whilst ethernet is 10/100Mbps auto selection.
So i take it from that the ethernet connection would be best?

And if it is faster than USB where would I see the improvement from USB? Loading webpages etc?

Ethernet. USB was never designed for networking, eithernet was.
