Hi Over Clocker ..
I hope you will have it sorted by now but if not maybe this will help .
I had the exact same problem with my mobo and my G Skill HZ ram , One stick would run fine but as soon as i try and add the second stick i would get blue screens and shutdowns.
After a lot of digging around and help from others , I found out that i had to change the settings in the bios to alter the timings of my ram .
Here is the guide i had :
getting into the bios and then selecting *** advance tab
once you are in the advance tab you should go into the jumperfree
There you can set the ddr votlage to 2.6v i heard the sweet spot for the g.skill hz is like 2.55v but i haven't experimented much to confirm it. My 903 bios doesn't have the 2.55v setting so i set it at 2.6v.
since you have the g.skill HZ pc4000 you can set the cpu fsb at 250mhz
once you're done with that press esc and get into the advance tab again and then select CPU Configuration
You can set the memory timings at 1T since you only have sticks of ram. I'm running the same sticks and motherboard at 1T.
next you should select memory settings and make sure ecc is disabled and then go to memory config
once there you can manually set the timings
these are my stock settings for the g.skill
CAS latency (CL) = 3.0
TRAS = 8
TRP =4
TRCD =4
TRRD =AUTO @ 2
TRC =AUTO@13
TRFC =AUTO@24
TRWT =AUTO@4
This might work for you give it a try , Try and make small changes and keep a note of what you change , I was told that the settings are the default settings for my ram and i need to make other changes to get it to optimum...but it works fin as it is .
If anyone can add to this feel free to do so ..it all helps
I just finished playing F.E.A.R with all the fluff on at full tilt and never had a single problem .
Good luck and let us know how you got on ... Allso witch Gskill kit you got ? HZ , ZX or other ?
