What disk format ?

when I use Partition magic to format disks it has 3 different versions of NTFS. If I select 3.1 which it says is for XP, During the install of XP it says that the format is incorrect

Also what is the best cluster size to use for XP ?

Obvious answer - Let setup format its own partiton?
