OK, I came into £270 didn't know what to spend it on, so decided to invest in some new hardware (if its worth it).

My current spec is:

AMD 64 3800+ Newcastle
2x 1GB Corsair CAS2 XMS3200 RAM
OcUK X850XT PE
Asus A8R-MVP Crossfire Motherboard

I would quite like to future proof the mahcine a bit more, I recently bought the motherboard as my old one was knackered. I was wondering whether a CPU/Graphics card upgrade might be worth investing in. Perhaps a second graphics card? (if a Crossfire Ready X850XT exists).

Any ideas?

p.s. I usually play on 1280x1024 res.

Or would I be wasting my money?

To be honest there is nothing you could really improve on, unless you need a second cpu core, and that is not likely. I would save the money till summer time when AM2 is out and get the best dual core 939 you can, they should be coming down in price to get us to move over to AM2.

There are crossfire mastercard X850XT cards - if you can find them.

Though you would be better of selling your X850XT & getting the 256MB X1800XT thats now selling at OcUK.
