Got my SD 3700 + running at 11 X 250. The HT multiplier is at 4.
I want to push the fsb to 255 or 260 , should I lower the multiplier to 3 . I mean , how rigid its this rule about not going over 1000 ?

I have'nt touched volts or anything yet and with no load the cpu temp is 36.

For stability yes, you will need to set to X3.
By setting it to X3 you lose nothing as theres still ample badwidth.
By keeping it at X4 you gain nothing.

Best way I have had it described to me is:

You have a 8 lane highway with 3 cars using it(utilisation)...
If you reduce the highway to 6 lanes and still have 3 cars, the reduction in lanes will not make any difference at all.

X4 will be OK upto 250Mhz on FSB
X3 will be OK to over 300Mhz on FSB

Hope that makes it a little clearer.
