I'd say have a look in MM at a great priced dell but I can't, I'd say yes go for the dell, just make sure she doesn't beat you up when she realises she's got a celeron.

Always remember that Dells are not always upgradeable. Often, yo will be buying an integrated graphics motherboard with very weak capabilities which cannot be upgraded. You won't be able to fit a better graphics card without buying a new motherboard, the case will not allow a standard motherboard so now you need a new case and the power supply is proprietary and will need to be changed as well.

If you genuinely intend to never change any part of the computer, buy a Dell. Otherwise buy from someone else.

yeah and its thats a socket 939 sempron, your in luck because they tend to overclock very nicely indeed :), so if she wants to play games now and again you could get her a second hand graphics card for £80 from the MM at a later date, and with the cpu overclocked it should run most games fine.

A Socket 939 Sempron? That sounds interesting, where exactly can I buy those?
