Which GFX Card????

ok im building a system, gunna be for gaming, planning on going with a Opteron 175 and 2GB mushkin PC4000 RAM, the system will only be running on a 17" LCD, would the 1900XT-X be a waste as im only going to be running games @ 1280x1024, should i save the cash by getting a 7800GT or X1800XT and buying a new LCD.... total budget for spec £1300, currently looking @

Current LCD: Iiyama Prolite (10ms) 17"

That's a nice spec - I'd stick with the X1900XTX. Yes you won't see a huge benefit at 1280x1024 now but it will last for longer. Games like UT2007 and Oblivion are around the corner and these look like they'll be very CPU intensive

I'd change the PSU for an Enermax, Hiper, Antec or Seasonic one
